Why did I choose a career in sales:
I got a taste for it working part time in retail whilst at Uni. I won every incentive, and it suddenly clicked that a job where my extreme competitiveness and drive could be put to good use would be a great fit!

Why did you choose a sales career:
My Dad and my Sister were both in Sales and to be honest I didn’t really know what else to do after graduating from Uni. The thought of owning your own destiny through hard work, earning good money and career progression were enough to convince me to give it a go.

I have to pick a couple: Firstly, working with a team of talented, motivated individuals each day who bring high energy, fun and creativity to the workplace – we do this brilliantly at Flourish. For the biggest dopamine hit, nothing beats making a job offer to a candidate and tangibly changing people’s lives through opportunity.

Why did you choose a sales career:
Post university, the theme was to ‘just get on a grad scheme’ but being from a humanities background, the options that offered great progression and earning potential weren’t easily laid out. I enjoy solving problems, having variety in work and being rewarded for generating results – sales and recruitment offers this.

Why did you choose a sales career:
I can talk all day long!! The age old saying of ‘people buy from people’ made me realise that my love of talking and people, made a good fit for the sales world. I get a huge sense of accomplishment when I’m able to support businesses identify their needs and work with them to build a strategy to support those needs. It is a highly rewarding role and allows me to continue my love for talking but more importantly listen to my clients to understand better.

It’s tough to pick just one thing! I love working with such a kind, energetic team, the vibe in the office is always great, and we always help each other out. Plus, getting to help people land their dream jobs and change their lives? That’s amazing.

Why did you choose a sales career:
I studied Chemistry at university but knew early on that I didn’t want to work in a lab. I then explored Law working as a Paralegal, but that didn’t feel like the right fit either. Then I worked in retail and discovered how much I enjoy talking to people and solving problems on the spot. That experience led me to explore sales it’s fast-paced, people-focused, and keeps me thinking. The commission is a bonus too!

I chose a sales career because I knew I wanted a career where I could progress having hit the ceiling in my last role,  and I knew sales would offer me that pathway if I put the work in. The commission based on that performance is a complete bonus, and its definitely rewarding knowing you have that potential to gain financially when you put the effort in!

Dream job as a child:
I wanted to be a firefighter because I wanted to help people, and I thought it was really cool. Fireman Sam was also one of my favourite cartoons.

My favourite aspect about my role is building relationships with clients to find a need that we can provide a solution for. I get a real sense of satisfaction when I win a deal and know that I’ve helped support a client. I chose a career in sales mainly because of the progression opportunities it has and the ability to make commission on top of a basic salary. I also like to build rapport with people, which is a key skill you need in sales, so it felt like a natural fit for me.
